How It Works

How It WorksInitial assessment and baseline readings

We ensure we conduct an informal interview and a FREE comprehensive educational assessment to understand what type of learner your child is and, what their baseline levels are in Maths, English or their specific subject for which they are seeking tuition. What is key here is to ensure that there is some level of passion and motivation towards learning. Often a bad tutoring experience which was not in line with the child’s learning style can leave them scared. We need to heal the wounds and repair any long term damage so that they can thrive and have passion to become the best that they could be and achieve their goals. We always get the children to write down their goals on joining us.

We always request a copy of the most current school reports so that we can ensure that no holes are left in any aspect of the child’s education once they join us. We will request subsequent copies of reports to ensure that significant learning developments are being noted and experienced in their regular schooling.

Our values

Each child is unique and should be treated as such. Every child has the ability to get to Univsrsity. Every child has the right to be respected and motivated to deliver the best possible version of themselves, every time. Every child should understand their dominant and sub dominant learning styles and ensure that they apply learning strategies that they understand are consistent with their own styles. All anyone should expect is for a child to be the best version of what they can be.
Reasons for tutoring

The single biggest reason for tutoring is to understand how to develop and become a confident, independent learner who understands their own learning style. This can save years of unfocussed, unproductive studying. Often the reason is to prepare for some specific attainment objective, examination grade or entrance place at a younger age. At iGCSE/GCSE and A Level it is for specific course preparation and specific choice of University. In a nutshell, the logic is optomise learning style, improve and consolidate knowledge, perfect technique and attain desired outcomes and results.
